We finally had our first TEDxSingapore meeting at SMU last sat (28th Nov). Though it's not like a usual TED, there were no live speakers, no prominent persons on stage (unless Dave, Eugene or I count as prominent. Haha...) but definitely very interesting people in the almost 300 audience.

Just before the event, there was a lot of scrambling for stuff. Dave and Eugene organising the day's event, Me on the Charter for Compassion cards and Ivan fixing up livingcompassionately.org (which people aren't really using, maybe cos it's still to raw, but we'll fix it. Cool) so that we have a live site etc...

On the day itself I arrived late, so we organised a quick setup of registration, got volunteers were at hand and even a guy, Arthur, who wasn't a volunteer jumped right in. So the day went on with a lot of spontaneity, fun, talks, flying of paper planes (I liked this part the most), even way after all the talks ended and we had to leave for lunch. We practically filled up Olio Dome at the Art Museum. Met even more people, talk about TED, everyone had great expectations for the future. So 2010, expect more TEDxSingapore. Cool

Some photos from the Charter for Compassion and TEDxSingapore event. I'm sharing them all here.
