First I'll like to state that I'm in no way connected to the business CBD Base and financeyourpassion.com and all it's programmes. And I surely DO NOT endorse what's going on at financeyourpassion.com. But the CBD base concept is quite interesting. A workstation in the CBD area is easily $800 onwards, and a small service office without window is about $1200. Man... That's crazy, but if I had a OMO, I'll definitely prefer to be in the middle of the action in the Raffles Place/City Hall area. Using virtual office at about $10 or slightly less and working from home just doesn't cut it. A OMO entrepreneur needs an environment where he can also interact with others and trade ideas over tea/lunch. It's boring to work alone, eat alone not to mention take coffee breaks alone. I really missed the Indigoz days, we worked together, ate together, complained together, went home together and even hung out together. That's startup life. It's the best kindof work life. You no longer ask how many hours you work but rather how much you've contributed. That's what I love about startups.

Coming back, I saw this website http://www.financeyourpassion.com/cbdbase/index.htm and the whole idea of using the business lounge only for 2 days a week and drop offs anytime not to mention going there to use some business services whenever you need. All for $100 a month, I do round offs cause I'm not doing price marketing here. Gives me an idea to take this up and pay $100 a month use that place as a base 2 times a week, and use Geek Terminal for the remaining days.

Geek Terminal is the other cool place. Cafe for people who need to use laptops in short. Man those dumb cafes that have the chase you out setups, no powerpoints, slow bandwidth connections. Wonder why they even bother acting like they care. This place to base for the remaining 3 days. Best part, it's near to CBD base. Eat and work from Geek Terminal, go to CBD base drop off the stuff and off to an appointment. I also wonder why CBD base don't practice workstation rotation. In that case, you can come in more than twice a week but you'll just have to pay when you are at the desk. Something like the lan shops. $20 for full day use and maybe $2-5/hour?

If only someone had something for one man operations who dun wanna stay at home.
