Really? Most youths I know just drop me notes on jobs. When the job is a little too hard or pay too little, I never hear from them again. Kind of sad. Singapore youths are really into work little, pay a lot. (I mean who isn't?)
Most think that the road down entrepreneurship is about little work and lots of returns. All you have to do is risk a little initial time and money and seize that right opportunity. Well it might be true if you were really lucky. But for most, I'll say it's just hard work, hard work and more hard work. But at the end, I guess if you appreciate the process of entrepreneurship, the excitement of creating something from nothing, doing something great with little, achieving a difference in your lifetime, then whether you succeed (in making a lot of money) becomes just a part of the process. Your life would have been a whole lot more fulfilling and I guarantee that you will never be a 40 year old retrenched executive with a mid-life crisis. Having said, I wonder how many of these 18% will persevere long enough while their peers move up the corporate ladder and earn tons more than them, or should I say how many can perservere long enough. Singapore living is really expensive and painful.
Have a read. If you are one such youth with no one to help you (try your school, SPRING, IDA, MDA etc first), drop me a note. If you are sincere enough to make something happen, I'll lend you a hand. :) Don't expect too much though. Have a read of the ST article by Jonathan Kwok, Nov 16 2009 on Entrepreurial Youths.

And... MLM/Networking marketing is not in my list of entrepreneurial ideas so don't bother to ask me to join your network etc.
