Year 2010 was all about social check-ins. Foursquare and the likes, Gowalla, and more recently Facebook places and now if you look up Google Places, the checkin capability is in the beta API. I first started to notice more and more Foursquare check ins on Facebook beginning of the year; the last month, after Facebook places was introduced, an even larger number of people checking in using their Facebook.

Is location based set to be the in thing for 2011? Where do you check in, Foursquare? Facebook? Will we be seeing more users in Singapore and hence maybe a integration of deal sites like Groupon Beeconomic with the likes?

We'll see... My sights are set on these trends in Singapore for 2011.
